How can I make the num lock stay on?

Whenever I boot up the num lock is off. I would like for it to stay on. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

You have to to turn it on/off in your BIOS settings.

I've tried all things here but both my wife's computer and mine started doing this when we upgraded to Windows 10. Mine actually from when I bought my computer 2 weeks ago and it came with Windows 8.1. Still requires resetting after its turned off.

if you have password shutdown and open your computer. when u came at login screen restart the computer while num-lock on.

note: this is a temporary solution. I tried all registry and fastboot etc. tricks but none of them worked

I have tried all the suggestions on this thread and none work (bios already set to on , reg keys all tried ) . This problem did not exist on 10 until I recently reinstalled (clean install) . So come on why is this happening and more important what is the correct and permanent fix ?

I had this issue before installing Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center for my Microsoft keyboard. Perhaps y'all need to install a keyboard utility/driver?
