Having 2 or more windows open at the same time in File Explorer

When I open File Explorer and open a window, say D:\Archives, I often want to see another window for, say D:\Todo but the D:\Archives window closes. I'm almost sure there must be a way to keep two or more windows open in one instance of File Explorer but my tired old mind just can't remember how to do it.

    Will really appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

You can have as many windows open as you want in any application. Just use the File selection to open a new tab or window.

Press Windows Key + E each time you wish to open a new File Explorer window.

And we still have choices on the right-click of the Taskbar as to HOW we want to view them [Cascade or Show items]. Works good with the larger monitors.

    Thank you Berton.

But I can find nowhere on the Taskbar to do that. Would you mind pointing me to it?

    Thanks again.

Whoops! My bad. I found it.

If you already have one window open of File Explorer, you can right click the File Explorer icon in the task bar and choose File Explorer to open a new window.

While File Explorer is open, you can use Winkey+N which will open another FE window at the same location.
