    Random restarts

On my desktop, I run Windows 10 PRO. Intel Core I7, 16GB RAM, 4GB Video.I have been having the problem that windows will reboot for no reason at all once or twice a day or even skip a day. It is not a CPU high temp as my core temps run from 25 to 40 degrees C. This happens randomly whether I am doing something or not. Has this happened to anyone? Is there a way to fix this problem?

Most likely hardware - anything from PSU to memory inconsistency (is all your RAM the same?) or faulty RAM.

    Start with these:

    Run memory checks, disk checks...
    MemTest86+ - Test RAM | Windows 10 Tutorials
Run Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Download and run Hard disk sentinel (trial) - best to give a quick review- or HD Tune (Health tab and Error scan).

My brother had this same problem a few weeks ago. We couldn't figure it out.......until last night. It starts with random reboots, whether your doing something or not. Things start lagging, getting slow, etc. Then one day you decide to turn off your computer to clean it free of dust. . Then you hook everything back up, press the power button, but no video display. . . Do every test in the book. You change out PSU's and realize a new PSU will bring everything back to life and the old one does not. .

If the hardware diags don't help, do you get a BDOS (Blue screen)? If so, post ion the BSOD Crashes and Debugging - Windows 10 Forums. Follow the instructions at the top of the forum.

I have been having a problem with my Cyberpower UPS in that although the battery shows it's good and have so many minutes available on its display, my PC shuts down immediately during a power outage.
On Monday I received my new Cyberpower LX1500GU UPS and since then I have not had any random reboots since then.
So I think the UPS Control Board was faulty.

I did call Ctberpower and the tech told me that it's 80-90% chance it's the battery. He told me to take the battery to a battery store (BatteriesPlus) and have them do a load test. Even though the UPS display says it's good.
I will have to do that sometime next week. If the battery tests bad I will probably buy a new one so I can give the UPS a new life once again.
