Stuck in UEFI BIOS after Windows 10 update

Just came home to see my box finishing a new Windows 10 update and restart. Restart ended in a “Blue Screen”, then reboot that went straight to the BIOS.
BIOS shows everything as normal as far as I can tell. The OS SSD is also listed as boot device 1 but every restart leads back to the BIOS. No loading Windows ever happens.
How do I figure out what the issue is?

Find a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.
    1) Find three flash drives that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
    2) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso
    3) Insert the flash drive into any USB port
    4) Power on the computer and click the applicable keyboard key.
If there is no applicable keyboard key or if the step does not work then temporarily modify the BIOS boot order so that you can boot to the external USB hard drive
    5) It may take 5 - 10 minutes for the iso to load while viewing the Microsoft Windows icon
    6) Select the language, time, currency and keyboard or click next
    7) In the left lower corner click repair your computer (do not click install)
    8) Click troubleshoot
    9) Click system restore (start with the oldest system restore point and keep repeating as necessary to the most recent restore point) ( if system restore fails or if there are not restore points move to the next step)
    10) Click startup repair (if it fails it may post a message that it has created a srttrail.txt) (if you see this message make a note in the thread) (if startup repair fails move to the next step)
    11) Click on command prompt
(this should open a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe and prompt: X:\Sources>)
    12) (type all of these commands) (comments will be in parenthesis)
(Take pictures of all of these steps and post images of the commands and results into the thread)
    13) bcdedit /enum
    14) bcdedit | find "osdevice"
    15) C:
    16) dir
    16) D:
    17) dir
    18) E:
    19) dir
    20) X:
    21) DISM /image:G:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions (change G to the partition letter displayed in step #14)
    22) (reboot and open command prompt > Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe > X:\sources>)
    23) chkdsk /r G: (change the letter G to the letter displayed in step #14) (this may take many hours and typically displays ETA)
    (reboot as necessary)
    24) (reopen command prompt > Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe > X:\sources>)
    25) (Insert another flash drive into any USB port so that you can save files to the USB drive and move the files to another computer and then post into the thread)
    26) diskpart
    27) list disk
    28) list volume
    29) select disk 0
    30) detail disk
    31) list partition
    32) select partition 1
    33) detail partition
    34) select partition 2
    35) detail partition
    36) select partition 3
    37) detail partition
    38) select partition 4
    39) detail partition
    40) (if there are more partitions then continue in the same fashion)
    41) select disk 1
    42) detail disk
    43) list partition
    44) exit
    44) copy c:/windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt Q: replace Q: with drive letter assigned to USB flash Drive)
    45) (if there is any problem running this command then type: notepad)
(when notepad opens click file > open > search for srttrail.txt or windows/system32\logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt) (save to the flash drive then move to the working computer and post into the thread)
    46) sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows (change the letter c to the letter for the partition seen in step #14)
    47) bootrec /fixmbr
    48) bootrec /fixboot
    49) bootrec /scanos
    50) bootrec /rebuildbcd
    51) (reboot)
    52) (more steps to follow depending up the above results)
(please make sure that images of all commands and results are posted into the thread)

lol I hope that was a copy/paste thing.

anyway, turns out it helps to know how many SSDs one has installed so I would have realised quicker. that my OS SSD vanished completely.

it also wont be recognised on other ports and with different power connectors attached.

I assume that piece is dead.

Just a bit funny it coincided with the Windows update and the following reboot.

Also, a bit disappointing it dies so unspectacularily and without a warning.

Power off the computer and hold the button down for 30 sec.
Then power on and report into the thread what you see and hear.

Also reset the BIOS and report into the thread what you see and hear:

The Spring Creator's update is incompatible with some solid state drives. See
Windows 10 version 1803 does not play nice with some Solid State Drives (SSD) - gHacks Tech News

I suggest you download the Media Creation tool and create a bootable DVD or USB stick, then start the problem computer with it and see if you are given the option to revert to the previous version. If not, try using "Repair your computer".

    Download Windows 10
