Won't Boot - (C:)\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

I was doing a Re-image on battery by mistake on a ASUS GL533VD. The power went out. After connecting the power cord the laptop was stuck in a repair loop upon booting. The repair always fails due to (C:)\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. The OS at the time was Windows 10-1803 B 17134.112. Windows 10 Recovery Environment CD or System Repair Disc (Windows 10 64-bit v1709 CD or attempting to Re-image again hasn't worked. I can't even get into safe mode with networking and Command prompt: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00 wasn't recognized.
I am truly screwed. Any suggestions?

Can you boot anything? You say booting from CD doesn't work but can you even get a cmd prompt? Either there or any other method you have tried?

Worst case if you power off during boot 3 times it should take you into recovery and from there you can get command prompt.

If you can \WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt is a text file indicating the error - if you can copy it (to a USB key for example) and upload it here it would help.

I have tried a Windows 10 64-bit Repair Disc (version 1709). It tried to repair but failed. Then back to the auto repair loop on power-up.

So when I power up, it goes into automatic Repair. The repair always fails. Two options- shut down or Advanced Options > Choose an Option > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.

So what do I do then. Type in "\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt" without the quotations then Enter"?
Then what?
What should happen?
How can I copy the result to a USB flash drive when I can't get Windows to boot. If I cant access File Explorer, how would I be able to access the Flash Drive to paste the cmd pmt to?
Thank goodness I have this second computer to communicate with, but I do not understand your instructions nor am I computer savvy enough to figure it out.

Guess what, Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe for Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17134.1] says that,
"Not enough memory resources are available to process this command" and I haven't typed anything in yet.

I tried to answer on my phone but the forum software deleted everything I typed (why is this @z3r010 ? I posted 2 replies from my phone but it keeps saying "talk to the administrator")

Anyway (back on my PC) I would suggest you download this : Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - Windows 10 Forums

Put it on a USB key and boot that.

The reason being is this PE is compiled (if you like) with the maximum scratch space and so you should have no problem copying the file.

I was getting your Email notices but quite a delay to load your last post.

While I was waiting, I desperately tried every repair/recovery option Windows 10 could give me at lease once and some several times. None worked until.

Drum roll please > Hu Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

For fits and giggles, I tried to Re-image once again. I do not know what Windows liked this time. May bee it was a different System Image than the one that was installing when the power went out. Or it could have been that this time, instead of running the tool automatically, I chose Advanced Options and manually confirmed the Image and Date.

All I know is that instead of failing at the get-go, the little gremlins in Windows 10 let it run to completion this time.
As I'm typing, a second Re-image to the original configuration I had wanted has just completed successfully.

I just ran the (C:) Error checking scan without any errors, and am running the cmd pmt "sfc /scannow" & "dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth". No corrupted files or integrity violations found.

All is well under the hood again.

Go to the Amazon shop, but a HDD for $50 and backup your current one. Then when it breaks next time you will not care.

I know you won't but at least next time you can say "If only I listened to this internet guy my life would be perfect..." etc

If it is of any interest, I didn't make a backup since about 2012 (or whenever Windows 8 came out, I forget) but since I copy all my data everywhere I don't worry too much. Unless the planet is hit by an asteroid I'll still be able to share VGA quality video from late '80's of weddings where I remember none of the participants.
