its a HP 252 been working well until last week. Every time I connect a usb pendrive or any sd card the screen flashes a red colour for a couple of second then returns normal also happens upon removal of the items.
Its fully updated to the latest os.windows 10. 1803.OSBuild 17134.165
    Any help Please.Thanks in advance

    David.

Make sure the laptop is fully updated with all the latest drivers and BIOS.

HP also provide a diagnostic tool that you can use to check all is OK.

    Hi. Once again.
Did all the items in question regarding my posting It does seem a lot better than it was.
Another problem that I forgot to say is that edge has gone Very slow to open, Decided to try chrome and that was no better.it can take up to two-four mins to get ready to use.
Would you have any thoughts on this Please.
    Thanks David.

Try a Clean Boot, you can keep it this way, or you can add one Startup item, or Service at a time use it for a bit and then reboot and try one other until your browsers start lagging, then you will know the troubled program or driver.
