Change Folder View Option To a New Default Setting

I am Using Windows 10 PRO

I want to change the Folder VIEW OPTION To a NEW DEFAULT SETTING.
Currently now when I open up a folder,
It sorts and displays the contents by
    Name and Ascending
    Refer to Image 1
This Image 1 is The DEFAULT View I get
All the File are scattered about not organized

I want to change the view to open and view the contents by
    TYPE and ASCENDING
    Refer to image 2
So that every time I open a folder I don't have to click the view option and change it to
    TYPE and Ascending

    Hello John,

You could use the steps in the tutorial below to apply your folder view as the default for all folders.

This does not have an option the select sort By TYPE only Optimize this folder for
    General items
    Documents
    pictures
    music
    video

All I want is open a folder it will all be listed in Types all pic be together word pages together everything is sorted by types
so i do not lo look all thru the folder just like image 2 I posted

    Thanks for the try

    That's ok.

In step 1, you set a default template for all folders.

in step 2, you set the folder view to "sort by" "type" for what you wanted, then "Apply to folders" to set it for all folders.
