Desktop has a thin white line which shows up under icons after, 1803 u

This is after the 1803 update which was forced on me sometimes, if I move my mouse cursor over the icon that has the white line under it the line goes away? Sometimes it will be a vertical line. If I remove the wireless mouse receiver from my tower, it will also go away. I don't think it's a problem with mouse or receiver because I don't have this problem on the tower that is running Windows 7? Thanks!

If the line goes away when you unplug the wireless receiver, sounds like that is the issue. You can try and use a wired mouse and see if it appears. You can remove the device and driver for the mouse and let windows install the default. This includes any kind of third party mouse management software that may be installed, uninstall that.

No such thing as a forced update for Home. As you have a Home license, you agreed to the service provided by MS, which is to deliver updates and upgrades routinely. Had you paid more for Pro, you would have had more control.

There are ways of stopping updates and upgrades for Home, but not especially conveniently- search for relevant threads in this forum.

You have 10 days by default after an upgrade to go back to the previous build. Each build has a limited period of support (MS lifecycle)

What I'm saying is I had Windows Update disabled in services! I never had the setting change to manual and then take updates before, the 1803! I have images saved maybe, I can go back using one of them.

Older simpler ways of blocking Windows updates have progressively been overcome by MS. There is a thread sthg like 'Stop Windows updates completely'. You will see that is done quite differently.
