Why do the icon sizes not match on the Taskbar?

    Just to recap, if you look at my snapshot above...

    I would like all the additional icons to match in size to Small Icons.
    Perhaps there is another way or I have to accept it. Just one Taskbar to conserve real estate.

    There is just the one Taskbar but more Toolbars can be added. And if desired one can right-click the Taskbar, click Lock the taskbar to remove the checkmark then click and drag [double-arrow] the top edge of the Taskbar up to as much as 1/2 the screen height, gets room for a whole lot of icons on it. Or while unlocked it can be dragged to the top of the screen or either right or left sides, users choice.

    Anyone else think of a solution to my problem?
    Need some new ideas.

    There are overlays if you want. You are talking about an object that at some point Microsoft will get rid of, since it is no longer feasible with Windows 10. The Links bar is something that not very many people use anymore with the changes that have been made to Windows 10.
