Pepanee: RE: your post concerning deletions.
You're absolutely right. All the rest of my entries are simply disabled. Lucky for me, the two entries that I deleted have not come back, nor has the edge shortcut. In retrospect, it would have been much better for me to disable those entries. (Silly me.)

Glad you read through that and comprehended the idea behind the difference of both deleting vs disabling =)

So maybe one day you drop in that section again and you would notice those two deleted entries reappearing. Now you know what’s the best approach to take in order to make them inactive .. to disable them =)

Thanks for the wakeup. If/when they come back, I'll do just that.

Well... So far so good for me. After stopping all Edge services and tasks, it's been three days and no shortcut has re-appeared. No registry hacks needed. Now all I have to do is take care of the mini fanless computers attached to my T.V.s. I'll be sure to disable the tasks this time instead of deleting them. Oh... and the one and only Windows 11 machine that I keep around just to cuss the Windows 11 downgrade and keep track of hoped for fixes. It's on the network and I stream to it, but that's about all it's good for.

Pepanee: Hope to see you around.

Sounds great. Assuming Edge ever shows up on your Desktop (hopefully it won't), then you know where to go to disable it.
Gotta get fans on those TV computers soon!

    I'll see you around.
