help with no boot device found

Have one SSD with windows 10 installed,
I have already slaved it to another pc to copy data off the drive, so I know the SSD itself is not bad.
However when I try to boot it, the BIOS (EFI) says no boot device found, this happens using two different motherboards which I know are good and have successfully booted this SSD in the past.
What is the best way to go about restoring the boot functionality or at least finding out specifically what the problem is?
Right now: push power button, BIOS/EFI goes through POST then ends with black screen white lettering saying no boot device found.

Essentially the system is not seeing that disk as a bootable device.

Try Macrium Reflect's Fix boot utility - create MR's boot medium, and boot your PC from it, or you could use Macrium Reflect on Kyhi's boot disk available from the top of the Software and Apps section.

That would be a better choice, as you can then use utilities to test your disk and to examine the partitions.

You can then determine if anything on the disk cannot be accessed.

Boot into Setup (Bios) under System Information you should see all of your drives. Is this SSD showing? if not, it will not be a bootable device. If so, go to Hard Drive Mode, and make sure it is set to AHCI, and not IDE or Legacy. Go to the Boot tab, If UEFI Bios is enabled, under the Windows Boot Manager, it should list the SSD drive. Move it to First Boot Device.
If it is not listed, try replacing the Data cable, try a different power plug from the PSU, try a different SATA port on the Motherboard. Make sure the SATA port it is plugged into is Enabled in the Bios.

+1 on the Macrium Boot fixer... I just did it a while ago when my Insider OS won't boot up after playing around with it.
