    That Was Weird...Could Not Launch Programs From Start Menu or Taskbar


    Plugged in this morning as usual powered up and reached desktop (I always startup with no Internet or WiFi) and tried launching task manager from the taskbar per routine and nothing. Tried from RUN and nothing. Tried launching other programs from the taskbar and the menu bar and RUN and nothing though occasionally I got a spinning wheel but it soon stopped. The only thing that I noticed slightly different was that when I plugged in (notebook is almost always tethered to the desk) this morning an amber light came on near the plug but that only indicates that I have dipped below my battery threshold and that the machine was charging. Has happened before with no consequences. Tried to RESTART and nothing for 5 minutes and my patience got the best of me and I did a hard shut down. Waited about 30 seconds and powered up again (still with no Internet) and booted to the desktop and tried launching task manager again and it lit right up as did everything else. So what do you all think that was about other then gremlins? TIA.

    Check event logs for anything of a Critical or or Error level?
