    Unwanted messages

In the lower right hand corner of the desktop, (where windows messages usually show up such as, "Download complete")

I keep getting messages, "The supreme court said..." and Trump said,"blah, blah, blah"),"Shooting in Massachusetts".

I don't want or care about or want these messages.

    Where did they come from?

Possibly from a web page that you have open at the time.

    Hello Don,

It sounds like you may have turned on breaking news notifications in the News app settings like below.

Can you go to settings and search for notifications. Look at that screen for what your want/don't want.

    Don,

You'll need to open the "News" app, and click/tap on the Settings (gear) icon at the bottom left. You should then see the setting at the bottom on the right side like in my screenshot above.

I clicked setting and don't see any News App.

I should point out that every time I get a Windows 10 Update
my computer gets all messred up.

I figured out how to stop the Updates.
Every time I restart a notification shows up, "We could not finish your Updates".
I ignore it, for the reason explained above.
I don't want to Update until I complete the Macrium Reflect setup.

I have created a Macrium Reflect USB drive.
That was in 2017. How can I upgrade it?
And how can update the Updates one at a time so I can see which one is messing up my computer?

    Don,

Did you open the News app from the Start menu to click on the Settings icon in the News app instead?

You should be able to make sure you have the latest version of Macrium Reflect installed, and create a new USB.

    Thank you Brink,

I figured out how to turn off the News Apps.

The other part will take some time. I will repost if I have anymore trouble.
