Question: a Tablet or a Kindle Fire

a Tablet or a Kindle Fire
this question is not W10 specific, it does have to do with digital devices and internet communication.

i have a basic kindle e-reader that needs to be replace.
I know nothing about "tablets"; i do all my work on a W10 PC.
Q; what can i do on a tablet that i can not do on a Kindle Fire....
    Your suggestions are appreciated.

A Kindle Fire tablet is an Android customization by Amazon. Most Android tablets are pretty much the same; however, the Kindle Fire is a bit different. Having used both, I prefer the regular Android tablet; however, it's been a long time since I had a Kindle Fire. The ideal size for me would be a 10.1" tablet.

You can install the Kindle app and other e-reader apps onto an Android tablet. I don't know if you can install other e-reader apps on the Kindle.

One other thing you may want to consider is a Windows 10 tablet. Those are almost the same as your Windows 10 laptop, just smaller and have a touchscreen. Again, you can install the Kindle app and possibly other e-reader apps onto a Windows 10 tablet.

And, a third option, according to how large a tablet you may want is a 14" laptop. I have a Lenovo Flex 4 with a touch screen. I have found, though, that I'm not inclined to use the touch screen as much as I thought I would. If you should choose a 14" laptop, do not, and I repeat, do not get one with a 32 GB hard drive. Those are useless for Windows 10. You need at least a 120 GB hard drive, and preferably 240 GB.
