Left click and slide up from taskbar not working.

When I left click, hold and slide up a taskbar short cut like Firefox or Edge there used to be a pop up window thingy that would show some options like opening another browser window or a window in private. That feature stopped working and I can't find anything on Google probably because I do not know the correct terminology to search accurately. ( Jump list perhaps?) I would like to turn it back on.

    Thanks for any assistance.

Have you restarted the PC? That can often fix things like this. Sometimes just signing out and back in again can be sufficient. The reason is that both will restart Windows Explorer which is what is responsible for showing the desktop and taskbar.

I didn't know you could do it that way. I've just tried and although it works, it does feel a little awkward to use (especially on a touchpad). Did you know that just right-clicking on the taskbar icon has the same result? That's what I've been using all these years.

Bree It is so much easier to right click isn't it I must be using left from habit.

Off topic but I must say as a German that is is great to see England back as a contender at World Cup.
