Will operating system still work if.................!!

I'm using a mini-pc & using my TV monitor as my screen. The pc only has a 32GB hard disk, (C:). I also have a 64GB SD card, from which I created a formatted partition named OneDrive (O:) & moved the OneDrive folder & its contents to it. However, I still need more storage space on my (C:) drive so Windows can download the latest update. I only have 3GB free on (C:) & apparently it's not enough. I need more space anyway regardless of Window's needs.
Will the system still work if I transfer the 'AppData' file to my SD card? AppData is currently in Local Disk (C:)>Users>(My name)>AppData. It'll only give me 1.75GB of space but every little bit helps & there's nowhere else I can see to take it from. Unless of course I can move some of the Windows folders to the SD card!! Thanks for any suggestions.

Probably not, I'd guess you'd break the system by doing that. All apps store their settings in %appdata% so wouldn't run properly if they don't know where to look for them.

In particular, I'd start with Disk Cleanup's 'Clean up system files' (step 14) and step 21 'Turn off System Protection for drives'.

Nope. Get a bigger hard drive. They are cheap.

That may not be possible on a tablet PC, some have the SSD built in to the motherboard.
It's not designed to be a replaceable item

The idea of a Mini PC or Netbook or Tablet is portability. It is not meant for heavy computing just for surfing the internet and reading Email, if you want to save a lot of files, you will need a full size laptop.
If you want to diminish the portability of the Netbook, you can attach an external USB HDD and save all your files over that instead of the SD card. But you would need to keep it attached at all times.

5GB should do for updates, but if you want to upgrade, you will need to use ISO anyway. Windows wants you to have 42GB partition at least. It does not care, how much free space there is.

Download and run this as admin: [Batch] Windows Cleanup - Pastebin.com

You should also get Wise Disk Cleaner and Driver Store Explorer to remove old drivers.

Disabling hibernation and uninstalling some junk store app should save several GB as well.

You can use WizTree finds the files and folders using the most disk space on your hard drive.

In this suggested link from Bree: 'How to Upgrade to the latest Windows 10 Feature Update on a Drive with Limited Space'. It states that I can use an external storage device, e.g. a external hard drive or a USB Flash Drive. Is this a fact? Can I use a USB flash drive? I know I'd have to format it & change the FAT. But I already have a 64GB flash drive plugged into my mini pc with 32GB of free space on it, I was just using it as a backup, once I format it I will have a lot more free space to which I could transfer files from my main (C:) drive.
