So what do you show for "Viewed Configured Update Policies" ? in Windows Update settings. It should tell you what was changed that is causing the message !
Not in Windows Update but in Diagnostics and Feedback. No where to be found some info what has changed...

I had that message when running the Education edition. I also had some options greyed out on the Settings menus where that banner message was present. I never did figure out why it was there or how to get rid of it. Look for options on the settings menus where you see it, that are greyed out / locked out. It may tip you off to what's doing it.

Only now still Windows Insiders, Delivery Optimisation, Diagnostic data and Feedback. Those still have the dreaded banner. I think I'll just leave it this way but tips are welcome. So I leave this UNSolved. Hopefully someone comes along who kills off these three nasties!

There's nothing necessarily nasty about it- the confusion arises because of the obscure wording, relevant to a business environment and an IT dept.

    Some possible causes:
    a. Certain builds of windows have been reported as having this present for no clear reason (as commented above). You can always check notes per build in the News section here.
    b. Using so-called privacy tools to block 'telemetry' like OO shutup etc can cause this.
    c. Making changes via the group policy editor (you have Pro).
    d. Making changes to the registry equivalent to those made by using the group policy editor by e.g.
    - merging reg files
    - using tweak tools
You might have a link below the red text saying
    View configured update policies

if so, try clicking on that.

You can also launch the group policy editor, and use the filter to locate configured policies.

It was noted very early into the release of 1803 that Feedback Frequency was still managed by the Insider programme on the retail release. This would have been the case for the Insiders builds leading up to the release, but it appears MS in their haste to get it out before the end of April forgot to remove it...

....they have even greyed out any alternative option.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update now available Monday, April 30 (post #436)

    This was fixed in 17134.112.

    They fixed Feedback Frequency issue....

Did not have this with Home and if I did it went away after checking for updates. I just upgraded to Pro doing a clean install and this message won't go away even after checking for updates. It showed up before I started to tweak W10 Pro. I am just going to ignore it as long as security updates still get pushed.
