    Okay alls well for the most part. I did system restore. I learned my lesson dont mess with pictures.

    Ill mess with something else

    You're lucky! System Restore actually worked- it doesn't always complete.
    Now you have a second chance, so make sure you start using disk imaging before sthg breaks - and proceed cautiously.

    I keep a simple text log of changes between images, so I can fairly easily reproduce what I did should anything go wrong (it hasn't for a year or two now).
