My live tiles are not updating, no matter what. Any suggestions?

Except the Xbox and News app, none of my live tiles are updating. How could I fix the problem?

I'm having the same problem; some of my tiles seem to stop updating randomly. I tried clearing the store cache, reinstalling the app, rebooting - some times any combination of these will help, but then after a while the tiles just stop updating again. The app starts just fine, but tiles are not updated.

I've disabled the metered connection throttling and everything else I could think of, but this feature seems less than complete...
