    2 thoughts for the future:
    a. use disk imaging routinely (e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + large external storage) so you can restore a recently created image, thus having your PC working again exactly fairly quickly and conveniently without technical help, as it was when you created your image, hardware faults other than disk failure aside. Addresses situations such as unbootable PC, uncorrectable corruption, user error, failed updates, ransomware....

    b. an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all programs and data and most settings might have resolved this... but can't be certain.

    Thanks dalchina , that's what I did . I made a backup with AOMEI free utility and I restored my pc in 10 minutes .
