Where do you find the list of items pinned to the start menu?

So the curious cat in my head started chasing this around and been having no success in cornering the mouse.

Specifically, where does does windows 10 store information about what is pinned to the start menu.

Attached screenshot shows: I am interested in the stuff in the red box, and most interested in the lower right hand corner the item in blue. I want to know if this is something I pinned, and then it was broken because I deleted the item, or moved the item, or windows update removed the item. Or is this something windows update stuck that that was broken on being stuck there.

    The cat wants to know.

For all users, the common shortcuts are here:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    Your private/per-user shortcuts are here:
    C:\Users\<USER-NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

A reasonable 'guess' following a couple of simple experiments suggests the registry:

    - note the name there.

    - unless the data is held where access is restricted e.g. the WindowsApps folder.

After messing with this for a while, I just unpinned the erroneous tile.

From the look of the tile, something attempted to install, and was aborted in an non-compliant manner, leaving behind garbage, so I was trying to figure out what happened so I could finish cleaning up.
