there are plenty of option to use "Linux" as totally stable and controlled system.
on the fact that it's easy to debug windows...well maybe if you work in a team with
several co workers, it seems to me that linux is much more simple

This is ecactly the reason why new Windows version upgrade MUST NOT change device drivers... but it does it.
Simple solution: Paid Windows 10 Home/Pro LTSB license, respect to customers. 95% of users need stable system, not that cool new unusable metro features in unpredictable parody of OS.
So it never gets any updates? Our Ubuntu systems have far more updates available than our Windows 10 systems. One could make the case that all OSes are beta, and stay that way.
I'm not going to derail the thread, but Windows is far easier to use and troubleshoot. It wouldn't have the large market share if it wasn't. Simple tasks in Linux are far more complicated. You are making the mistake of assuming that YOU find Linux easier that it is. It isn't. Join a domain or install graphics drivers, then compare that to a Windows system. I like and use Ubuntu. I'm not bashing it, but it is no where near as user-friendly as Windows.

You did never work in real corporate sphere, didn't you? Your vision that corporate IT environment relies on community effort is simply ridiculous. For example, bank supervision authority requires using of unix/linux/OS400 systems with paid and guaranteed support in all banks...

I don't know if you truly miss the difference on how you can handle updates and upgrades in say Ubuntu or Debian and in windows 10 (which I use and enjoy BTW), not even comparable that is a simple and true fact.
On the domain, policy etc. I totally agree with you, windows is corporate/enterprise friendly OS and
I find "Linux" more user oriented/friendly, there is indeed one "Debian 9" not a debian for whom can pay more and another for whom can pay less.
Driver are really a issue if your card is not supported, if it is no problems an very easy.
In the end windows is really more familiar and probably easy for the average user I agree.
True, BUT that cost is built into the total cost of a Retail computer. A Custom computer has to get it separately and usually at a higher cost., with the USB cable disconnected from any computer,

True. But that's why I get the LiveDVD .iso of whatever I want to explore, if desired can install to a hard drive while booted to that disc. Just a couple days ago I downloaded Ubuntu 18.04 LiveDVD and burned the disc then booted to it. It's good but if hard-pressed I'll stay with my installed Linux Mint 18.3 on a Desktop and a Notebook. I was surprised that Ubuntu picked up my Networked HP OfficeJet 8600, apparently has built in drivers as it didn't download them [can't save to the DVD].Driver are really a issue if your card is not supported, if it is no problems an very easy

Windows 10 has never NOT been free with a new computer. It's either included in the cost of the computer, or for ones that are self-built, you can use a license key from a previous version of Windows. Still works today.
