In Win 10Pro, 1607, latest Radeon driver v16.9.1,
Some splash/info screens still have the blurry text issue using 100% DPI on a regular (not wide) panel, 125% being too much.

Otherwise, the OS/App menus, etc, looks pretty fine. Any thoughts?

The script worked really well for me on 125%. My monitor is 34 inches diagonal with a 3440 x 1440 resolution and before the script was applied the text was really bad. Not perfect now, but much much better with the script. Hopefully Microsoft fix this in future builds and negate the need to run a script to fix their software!

Thanks to the member who posted the start up script.

Don't use this if you don't like exe starting with your system, taking resources, etc. also it might be unsafe. I found this a while ago somewhere via google, but it said to put this into autostart, sadly it doesn't work with autostart if you don't sign out after you login and the login again (and sometimes it doesn't work at all).

After you apply your desired font size in windows settings (like 125% dpi, I use this with 125%) > Open notepad, paste this into it:

    Code:
    REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v DpiScalingVer /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00001018 /f
    REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v Win8DpiScaling /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001 /f
    REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v LogPixels /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000078 /f
then save it as <yourname>.cmd somewhere on your HDD > open local ground policy editor (gpedit.msc from search bar) > In user config (im translating this from my language so there might be little translation differences) > go to Windows Settings > Scripts (login/logout) > In the window on the right double click on Login to open it (because we want this to be applied every time you login) > in Scripts tab, select Add > then in new window select Browser > navigate to where you saved your cmd file and select it > then just press Ok > Apply > Ok > Then sign out/reboot your pc > Login to your account for the first time after adding this script so it will be applied > then if it will not work, Sign out/reboot again and from now on it should work every time (works for me).
Thank you! This worked for me too!

I have come to the conclusion that the blurry fonts are being CAUSED by AMD...before I install their driver, after a fresh install of Windows 10, I am using the default Windows display driver. ALL text (fonts) are as sharp as a razor blade. After I install the $#%@$$@# AMD display driver, the fonts on all 3rd party software is fuzzy. I blame this all on AMD.

Wish I could use only the Windows 10 default display driver, but I lose control of my brightness, goes to full brightness and I cant turn it down.

Anyone know how to use the default Win 10 display driver and STILL control your brightness?

That is not correct. I am on Intel/Nvidia and still experienced this behaviour. AMD drivers have nothing to do with this, it's a Windows DPI Scaling issue.

I had this problem too. Its not in all apps that looks blurry, its only in dialog boxes for example the fonts of a installer look blurry. I fixed it by changing the scaling from 125% (recommended) to 120%
