    unknown icon in this pc

    good day to all,
    I updated to 1803 this morning. in this pc I have a new icon that was not there before the update.

    unknown icon in this pc-image.png

    it's the first icon in devices and drives. right click it and I get cut/createshortcut/delete. double click it and nothing happens. delete it and it comes back next time I open explorer.

    anybody else see this? or have way to remove it?

    thanks in advance

    Best go back to the previous version.
    1803 has a number of problems.

    This seems like a non problem to me, Unless he has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) or something.

    I have 3 computers ranging in age from 3 years (64 bit pro) to almost 12 years (32 bit pro) old and all work fine

    I had a ghost USB drive E: showing in my File Explorer but there's no way in hell I'll reinstall until I have a serious problem that prevents use of the Notebook, no point in passing invitations to more issues. It shows only in the right panel of This PC under Devices and drives but not in the left column list of drives. It's probably because I've had a different Thumb drive plugged in. But in further checking I was able to remove it in Disk Management.

    @vega @Berton
    You have some corruption in the registry.
    Download Drive Cleanup v.1.5: Drive Tools for Windows
    Unzip then right click to run as Admin. This will remove all ghosted devices.

    If still does not work. Open the Registry and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
    delete everything on the right hand side. Reboot the PC, Windows will re-populate entries for each device.
