    No. But this has nothing to do with the mouse. If you google the behavior, you'll find a history of gripes about this.

    I've not seen a problem with the action in the List view of Folder contents, just that clicking on a file name on the right side of the panel shifts the Focus and the part of the list that particular file is in to the left side. Some of what I see depends upon whether I have File Explorer set as Maximized or smaller. [Full Screen F11 is a different view.]

    Both Berton and I have tried to explain to you that this is just the way it is. You can send Feedback to MS requesting a change or workaround if you wish. Googling for gripes will always produce thousands of results. It rarely, if ever, produces a workable solution. Search around for 3rd party apps that can replace Explorer if it really is such a nuisance to you. Windows, as is, produces the results you see.
