All 3 act same way. Those 3 options are with the chrome ext I already had....so I dont get what the "clear type" was for.

By the way, whats the difference on a reply if I use 'reply to thread' or 'quick reply'?
Clear type - to adjust text globally in windows and make it clearer.

I'm not sure what the difference between reply to or quick reply is. I know that you get more options if you use quick reply - go advanced.

If you have a site where that extension has problems post a link and I will see if i get the same issues.

RE: clear type. I just reverted to default settings to make a comparison. The screenshot shows default (top of image box) vs. adjusted clear type (bottom of image box)

Hopefully you will notice that there is a difference.

Things are acting weird, letters smaller or larger or lighter or darker, seems to be randomly changing, by itself, in different areas...

Didnt see other info when I did previous post.

I do see the difference in your 'clear' shots. Not a real big difference.

As I said about "weird"...."random"....a few times when I looked on here, letters were real good....now not so much, changed by itself. Maybe I should start over, maybe I clicked on something by mistake.

(EDIT.....now I look at all the other posts, this time they are nice and dark.....but not this one.....)

Coming up next.... Avenatti will sue Stormy once he realizes there's no money coming, and in fact, she's facing bankruptcy if Trump's lawsuit against her hold up for breaking the confidentiality agreement she signed. On, one last thing. Stormy was never a porn "star". She was a low-budget porn actress, and she hasn't done any porn in over a decades.

    • not a screenshot, is a copy/paste..... from that 'comment' section of that news site.....what I see, as I type this, all is very light, tough on the eyes.....

    • EDIT......screwed this all up, what I wanted did not come out and vice versa, plus it looks nice and dark once it went in here posted, but not before......this time.

Can you take a screen shot of the screen where the text is very light?
For example, a screen shot of the site that shows very light text.

    Do option #2:
Take Screenshot in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

I would like to compare it with my computer when I go to that site.

Fox News site, click a title, go to end, says "Conversation" see if it's extra light on your computer. And I did darkest "arial black", so it's odd it did not affect that section.

Maybe it's just "the style" different places use, like here too. Thick/dark, thin/dark, thin/light other areas, etc. Maybe some sites make the text too thin/light.

Also notice other odd changes. Some printed words "overlap" on top of each other. Some spots that had box with a word (volume...on-off...pause, etc) dont have the word anymore.

RE: Fox News site. It works for me if I refresh the page (F5 button) after applying override.
Also if you are going to override a text and graphics heavy site and force it to look different to the way the designer wants it to look some of the extras (buttons or text boxes) might look out of place.

Weird, tried the refresh like you did, still dont make any difference for me. Maybe due to different brand computers, system specs, etc. ?

Like you said, I did have a hunch some things might look different due to changing the other things.
But majority of stuff easier on the eyes, so thanks for this. And I can experiment more, knowing I can always revert back.
