    W10 pricing

My PC pretty much crashed and have decided to upgrade. Even though my W10 was legit and board identified; I guess Microsoft wouldn't accept this change and re key the W10 Home. to a new MB.

Another question though. Amazon.ca has W10 Pro for $84.00 Canadian OEM. That price sure seems low and i'm wondering if it's legit. Any thoughts on that?

    Thanks, Allan

You should be able to reinstall your 10 version with the new mobo. A phone call to MS explaining the crash and replacement might be needed.

Is the old PC still working at all? If so, and if you have not already done so, you can link the digital licence to your Microsoft account which can make it easier to activate Windows 10 on a new motherboard.

Link Microsoft Account to Windows 10 Digital License

I also have Windows 10 PRO OEM. I had to replace my MB. I had to do activation by phone. I had no problems activating it with the MS customer service. Go that route first.

Windows 10 will reactivate with no issues. They now have a Mobile activation feature, that makes the phone call a thing of the past.

What exactly do you mean by "Mobile activation feature"?
Still waiting on parts to build; so not relevant yet.

Exactly that. You get an option to use your cellphone to activate the license with a text message that has a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vW4vV5XSSI

Ahhh I see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.
    Thank You.
Edit: Cel coverage is almost non-existent in my area. So I guess I'd have to do it by land line.

Does your land line phone display texts? Here in the UK if the receiving phone isn't a text-enabled model they get an automated voice instead. Not sure how convenient that would be for an activation link :)
