    Notifications - help.

I recently downloaded something from softonic (don't normally use them)
Unfortunately I ticked a box that enabled them to send me notifications. Since then I have been receiving little notes that 'slide in' on the bottom right of my screen - these last for several seconds then disappear.

I would like to disable this, so would appreciate any pointers you can give to sort this annoyance out.
Thanks in advance for your help.
This particular machine runs Win 10 32 bit version 1803

Do a Malware removal to get rid of whatever installed itself on your machine. Using Softonic is like looking for a prom date at the local whorehouse.

AdwCleaner should do it for you. Its big advantage is that it doesn't require an install. Just download and run it.

I am amazed Softonic still exists. It's a nest for malware.

Exactly. Same as Cnet's website. Majorgeeks.com is the only safe place.

What fraud, what unsolicited message, no Windows 10 mystery. Run a Malware scan to get rid of whatever you downloaded and go from there. You came here for help, now you do not want it.

A little 'heavy' perhaps Bro 67, with a tinge of 'aggression'!

It would have been quite easy to just ignore the matter and say nothing - I reported honestly.

I would state that this forum is for me and many others an absolute lifesaver - a wonderful source of info. Most contributors deal kindly to those of us who admit our knowledge is only scant.

Nope, not heavy and not any aggression. You asked a question and given a very simple answer for two times. Softonic is a know website of software that is worse than trying to find a prom date at a whore house. Windows 10 is also not the problem. Run a Malware scan and move forward.
