    f14tomcat.... followed instruction to restart explorer so I'll wait now and see how that goes.

    Thanks AndreTen .... checked via right click on icon and it looks ok.

    Checked drive lehnerus2000 and it's fine...thanks for reminder.

    Maybe an issue with locations included in quick access. Try resetting it and reboot.

Problem is in the title. File explorer takes 4-5 seconds to open from the taskbar, but opens in about 1 second when I search it in Windows Search. Laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 720s 15". All other processes work correctly. Any ideas on this?
