Host Process keeps stopping every time

    Hi guys...
So recently I have come up against such an annoying problem that keeps me from completing my work. In particular, each time while I am doing stuffs on my PC, a dialog appears, and it says that "Host Process for Windows Services has stopped working". And when I click on the button "Close the program", it gets a BSOD. If I don't, nothing happens.

Someone pls help me, I have been sickened by this problem for a long time. I know that some of you guys suggest that I should reinstall Windows, but pls note that this PC is my mother's, and if anything wrong happens to it, you know what happens next right? Also, I tried the method by upgrading my Windows version to the newer one using Windows 10 Upgrading Assistant, but nothing worked.

Halp me pls. I would like to send my best appreciation to solutions
Btw, I also have an error called: C:\Users\****\AppData\Microsoft\Roaming\defsvvjw\ivtdegif.exe
PS: If anyone wants to know the specs, here it is:

    Dell Vostro 3559
    Intel Core i5 6200u 2.8ghz Turbo
Windows 10 64 bit (latest version)

The "ivtdegif.exe" looks like it's some sort of Malware. You should do a full computer virus scan using Windows Defender.

I tried Windows Defender, but it didn't work. I'm thinking of booting the PC into Safe Mode, and then scan for viruses using Malwarebytes. Seems ok, right?

    Hello.

You came up with the idea of running Safe Mode and running Malwarebytes. You need to thank yourself for that one =)

for the exe file, open a File Explorer window and copy/paste this in the address:
C:\Users\****\AppData\Microsoft\Roaming\defsvvjw\ (where **** is the name of your user account)

This should take you to that folder. Is that file in there?

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, go to the Startup tab. Do you see that file in that list?

No, clearly I didn't see anything after following your steps. Right at the AppData folder, I don't see the Microsoft folder. The same to the startup program when I hit the combination Ctrl + Shift +Esc. Anyways, thanks to your advice, my PC has been much faster than before. Many thanks again.

    You're welcome.

And sorry, I didn't notice this before, it's
    .../Roaming/Microsoft/...
    not .../Microsoft/Roaming/...

(if there's a message that comes up saying ivtdegif.exe is missing, we can try other methods to get rid of that... if you want; your choice)
