Lost Command Prompt in Win-X Menu

Somehow I have deleted the command prompt and powershell entries in the Win-X menu (the right-click on the Win button menu). Anybody know how to restore either to that menu? I have tried installing and using the Win-X editor from winaero.com but without sucess. While there are other ways to invoke these items, having them on the Win-X menu was very convenient. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello Edw, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You might see if this below may be able to add it back to the Win+X menu for you.

Tip: if like me and want Command Prompt accessible after PowerShell showed up on the Start menu, open Command Prompt then right-click the icon on the Taskbar and choose Pin to Taskbar. PowerShell is okay but sometimes it's a bit intimidating and the familiar Command Prompt helps get things done quicker.

Thanks for the suggestion, Brink. Didn't work. Apparently you need either command prompt or powershell prompt there in order to change one from the other
Thanks for the suggestion, Berton. I would prefer to keep my Quick Start Taskbar uncluttered if possible, especially as the Win-X menu is just as accessible.

In that case, open the folder below and post back a screenshot showing what you have in it. This is where the command prompt shortcut is suppose to be like below.

    %LocalAppdata%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group3

Brink: As you can see, I have clobbered command.com/powershell out of Win-X.

Here's a copy of the missing command prompt and PowerShell shortcuts from my system below in a ZIP file.

    Win+X.zip

    1) Download the ZIP file to your desktop.

    2) Unblock the ZIP file.

    3) Open the ZIP file.

    4) Copy and paste (drag and drop) the shortcuts into your %LocalAppdata%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group3 folder.

    5) Hopefully, it's fixed for you now. :)

Lol, I'm too damn dumb for this stuff. . .

    Edit:

That actually opens from a short cut I copied to my Start Menu ( Page ? ) .
