    Have to hover mouse icon over 5 seconds in order to move window on des

    I have a clean install and am running into a few problems. One is that, on some windows, I have to hover the mouse icon over the top of some windows for more than five seconds before the window gets focus and I can move it on the desktop.

    Also, how do I make windows I'm moving semi-transparent while they're being moved? Thank you.

    You may try changing Mouse Hover Time to a much lower value at:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse]

    "MouseHoverTime"="20"

    To show windows while dragging:

    Gee, thanks for all the effort you put in. However, I checked out what you sent me about seeing the Desktop while dragging and it's already checked off. I wonder what's wrong since this is a brand new installation. I'll check out the Registry change in a little while - but, sometimes the window will move right away - but sometimes it takes a good five seconds. Microsoft!!!!!!!

    BTW, what app are you using to get those screenshots?

    In your last post, how did you place the part where it says : Nisko says? It looks like a copy and paste - but I don't know how to do it the way you did.

    then cut:

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!! Since a reply has to be on top of the quote, I'm also looking for a way to do this multiple times in the same post in order to reply to, for instance, a number of questions. Is this doable?

    Click 'Multi-Quote' on each desired post then go to 'Reply to Thread' with your loaded clipboard:

    Thanks again - I didn't know what that icon was for. You've just made my life a little easier. When I stop learning, I'll stop living. So I hope I can go on learning forever.

    I still have to wait for about 5 seconds before some windows can be dragged. Also, my dragged windows remain opaque - can't see what's below them when I drag. Any other suggestions? I ran sfc /scannow and found no problems.
