    Also i found this problem:

    your laptop is affected

Some actions, which cause the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:

    • Left click on battery-icon in task-bar
    • Opening Chrome-browser
    • Opening Windows Image Viewer (app + classic Foto viewer)
    • Opening system control panel
    • Provocation any animation on task bar (e.g. thumbnail-preview, ...)
    • Loading a new tab in Firefox

    Effected Windows Versions:

    • Windows 10 1511
    • Windows 10 1607
    • Windows 10 1703
    • Windows 10 1709 (For some, this build made things a lot worse!)
    • Windows 10 1803 (RS4)
    • Windows 10 RS5

I found this user that says this:
This is happening on my Asus ROG GL553VD too. Using Nvidia GeForce 1050Ti.
Mine is always freezing when having a Chrome / Edge with Discord open. My system would lock up and the only way to un-freeze it to press the power button and turn it on back again. After disabling the hardware acceleration in Discord app, the froze is gone. I dunno if it might come back but so far, i have no issue with the froze again.

Yesterday windows 10 updated and they fixed a problem with sound randomly freeze some applications. Do u have that update?
    Which update is this?
I haven't updated for a long time since, y'know, when i update it always freeze the laptop and so no update ever finished

sorry for almost necro bump, update on the situation
    - brought laptop to asus official service center, they replaced the hdd, still happened
    - I lend this laptop to a technician, he tested by playing all games, watching movies, for almost 24 hours on time but in his hand the problem did not show up AT ALL
-Tried turning off fast power on thing, still happens

    quick assumption for a while:
    - Is it possible the charger is the problem? But even without charging my laptop still freezes?
Randomly I feel tiny electric current from the sockets so.. PSU?
    - Is it possible due to overheating? Should I get an external fan? Planning to buy one tomorrow
    - IS it possible it's corrupted GPU? What are the possibilities? Or misplaced GPU?
    - What if the insides is dirty/dusty? Will it affect as well? Should I bring it to the technician to clean it?

sorry, im very dumb about all this. i'm just extra paranoid
