    Error 6008 - Computer freezing

Has been having this problem after updating to build 1607
The problem was worse at 1708(?)-ish and I've brought this pc to service center and got it roll-backed
Has not been updating for a long time because too scared to froze more often
I disabled windows update and deferred windows update. the last time I tried to update it froze again.
    chk dsk found no problems

    Problem:
    1. Freezing, nothing working
    2. Loud buzzing noise when opening something with sound

I'll add more details when I can remember

    Hi ouhlala -

There's no need to bump, lol. Someone has to chime in with a smart answer to your situation. :)

I have not encountered this problem (yet!) and I'm sorry that you had to bring your PC to a service center for a simple rollback. Please give your thread a few more hours of exposure. If no answer by then you might want to backup all of your data and applications and do a clean wipe and reload of the latest build of W10 making sure that you have the latest W10 certified drivers/software for reinstall.

Event ID 6008 entry indicates that there was an unexpected shutdown.
Is your computer OK, rather than W10?

    Thanks for your patience. :)

When your computer freezes again, restart (switch off and on) the computer and go to this location in Event Viewer:
Take a picture of that (Windows Logs => System). Let's see what it says for the most recent events.

Oh hey. I was actually on another thread and saw that there's a way to Reset the Graphics Card.

I would please like you to try that first, before my other post.

So once your computer freezes, press: Control + Windows Key + Shift + B
    Tell me what happens afterwards.

OKAY! It finally happened again today.
Been trying to trigger the freeze for 3 days by keeping it on for more than 6 hours of doing nothing and happened today when playing. Good one windows.

So i've been suspecting windows update is the cause so i turned off wuauserv and after freezing i'm sure.
I tried the reset graphic card, it didn't work. Tried to pull out the charger, no result. So i force shutdown.
Funny thing the asus login screen shows this...

Alright now onto the event viewer, im gonna put the most recent to error 6008.
    Error 6008 - Computer freezing-newcanvas2.pngError 6008 - Computer freezing-newcanvas1.png
    Error 6008 - Computer freezing-newcanvas4.png

I'll most likely bring this laptop to ASUS service center to do some hardware checkup, but i would loove to know what is the cause of this freezing (cuz the last time i brought this to the service center, i asked whats the problem and got no answer )
    Thanks!

I found this user that says this:
This is happening on my Asus ROG GL553VD too. Using Nvidia GeForce 1050Ti.
Mine is always freezing when having a Chrome / Edge with Discord open. My system would lock up and the only way to un-freeze it to press the power button and turn it on back again. After disabling the hardware acceleration in Discord app, the froze is gone. I dunno if it might come back but so far, i have no issue with the froze again.

Yesterday windows 10 updated and they fixed a problem with sound randomly freeze some applications. Do u have that update?
