I tried Android LiveCD/DVD, and it worked until I got into the game. Same problem as mention in my reply above.

If I spoke and understood Japanese, it would be no problem. Thanks. The game I play is Risk - Global Dom., and lately I've been getting network connection lost and losing a ton of points. That is why I need a native andriod, but don't want to fork over the money for a tablet. I would like to have (as most of us would), is a machine that does it all.
Japanese? Not sure what your talking about. I live in Texas. I downloaded Memu because I wanted to use Android on my computer and it works good for most of my Android games and especially for kik.

I see. Maybe your issue is network related then.

Whatever installation route we decide to take, I do NOT recommend any Android emulator based installation. They are insanely slow and huge resource hogs. Although compatibility can be much better using an emulator.

Either a virtualization solution or install and boot on pure hardware is the best way to go.

Don't confuse ChromeOS with Android...they are far from the same thing and should thus be excluded from this thread.
That's mostly incorrect. ChromeOS is a potential successor to Android, at least on tablets. The architecture is the same, and you can run Android apps on ChromeOS, as I mentioned above.

NO they are not the same, though you can run some Android apps there. They are 2 completely separate projects and in their core they are nothing alike, not even close.

Memu emulator works perfect on my system. Not slow at all.

I didn't say they were the same. I said they were similar with some shared architecture. Big difference. If the OP wanted to run Android apps, then I am standing by my suggestions I made earlier.

Our app developers run Bluestacks and seem to have no issues with it, either.

Looks interesting. I haven't tried that tool though. But it seems it's quite fast, must be since it's advertised for playing games and getting quite good reviews too.
