Serious problem after upgrade to 1803

After upgrade, my computer is unusable. I have the same problem as here: https://www.tenforums.com/installation-upgrade/109176-1803-upgrade-fault-c-windows-system32-config-systemprofile-destop.html#post1360304.

Nothing works, just the run command. No Start button, no icons. Icons disappeared except Trash. I think it is something connected to corrupt profile user. I tried to modify manually the registry but nothing.

    Please help!

See if you can make an iso or a bootable USB drive using Media creator going here:
    Download Windows 10
And try and do a system repair. The media creator is updated to Win 10 1803.

    Thank you for your reply.
    sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth both done. No Use.
I honestly would like to avoid to reinstall the whole Windows 10.

You have 10 days to revert back to 1709, so do that now.

And then there are ways to stick with 1709 Home for a longer period of time.

Someone else will have to post those instructions as I do not use Home.

Sound advice under these circumstances. If you can't get to Settings to revert back to 1709 you can also do it from Advanced Start up.
Go Back to the Previous Version of Windows in Windows 10

Use Microsoft's wushowhide.diagcab tool to hide the 'Features Update to Windows 10, version 1803'. This works in Home and Pro. See this tutorial...

downloaded update on Monday and every thing slowed right down and had problems with pages loading unselected, left it overnight to sort itself as it does some times but no joy, it may work ok for some but not on my laptop restored to win 10 the stable one next day very easy to do. all back to normal and think I will delay this update for a bit.

Yes, it`s best to give it 3 or 4 months, if possible.

1709 works great, no reason to update it yet :)

Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread for troubleshooting:

@henrypug, you didn't manage to attach the zip file, all we see is its name. This tutorial should help....

EDIT: we see it now, thanks. @zbook is in the US, so should see it this afternoon, UK time.
