After updating windows, I tried new timeline feature. It worked for about 2 days.
This is a feature of the new Windows features. They work for a couple of days, and then they stop working.

    Just like Edge!

Three computers here: Edge worked for a few days, and then it quit working. Click the icon, and nothing happens. On all three boxes.

Edge seems to get "fixed" with each major update ... only to quit working thereafter. Anyway, that's what happened with 1703 and 1709.

I guess MS fired their software testers ... and hired you to be their QA person! (Tell them "thank you very much!") :)

    Doesn't work for me either.

If I click the 'Task View' button after a restart, it works once and I can see the timeline.

If I click it again, I see nothing, although it seems to load a transparent overlay that's empty and I can't click on anything on my desktop. I have to hammer the 'Task View' button about 4/5 times until it turns off again.

    Humph!

EDIT - Fixed it - it's not currently compatible with DisplayFusionPro!

Took a while to kick in for me too. Seems not all apps are recorded in Timeline, so it probably won't appear until you've used some that do.

It's been this way since 1803 was released. I visit some 500+ sites a week, not one show up.

Timeline for me picks up activity in almost all apps: Notepad, Office, Adobe Reader and even my decades old Paint Shop Pro 7.

But as far as browsers are concerned, only Edge activity seems to get recorded. I don't have Chrome, but my Firefox doesn't appear, not even IE is there.

How can I disable this piece of garbage? It suddenly only displays sites from Edge and nothing else... And I use for 99,99% of the time Firefox. It also used to keep track of my watched videos on VLC and my pics but as of late that Timeline thingy only allows Edge.

Pure crap, that whole Timeline thing!

You could use an option in the tutorial below to completely disable the Timeline feature.
