OneDrive Green Checkmarks (icon overlays) disappeared

Hi. Recently, the green checkmark icon overlays disappeared on both One Drive icons of my HP computers. This is on File Explorer and the OneDrive folder themselves. I've done research and most say it has to do with the spaces in the registry for the ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers. Not the case or problem here. I'm using OneDrive (Personal) plus an added OneDrive account for my son's Office 365 account. If I click on the icons in the system tray the pop up windows says All files are in sync (on both OneDrive accounts). I can view the files online. Any idea of how to get the icon overlays back? I think I've tried everything I can find on the net with no results. I running Windows 10 Home 1709 on both computers. Thanks in advance for any input on this issue.

Right click the icon for onedrive on the taskbar, select settings, check the box Let me use Onedrive to fetch files on my computer, then in the account tab click on Choose Folders, check all boxes and click OK.

Double check to make sure you still have OneDrive Files on Demand turned on.

Hi, Brink. Everything is setup correctly. The interesting thing is that my OneDrive explorer icons and files look exactly like the pix in the 1st tutorial. Is this the way OneDrive is supposed to display now (without the icon overlays?) Also to dmholtz57, the default files are checked. Don't want to fetch all files.

If you use a medium icon view for your OneDrive folder, do you see the status overlay icon on the files and folders in your OneDrive folder?

I am using the medium view. The overlay icons virtually disappeared in front of my eyes.

Strange. Do they reappear if opening the OneDrive folder from the OneDrive icon on the taskbar notification area?

No. If you look at Turn On or Off OneDrive Files On-Demand in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials
that's what my OneDrive looks like. There was another thread titled OneDrive by Amahd Hegazy He stated and showed pix's after the problem and before the problem (as it should be). I'm not going to reset the computer as I've done that once already and too much work involved getting everything back as I like it. I can live with this issue as the files are synced.

That's what it should look like in "Details" view below.

If you like, go ahead and post a screenshot showing what it looks like for you to see if anything may stand out.

You must have made your last reply as I was writing my last reply. It looks exactly like the screenshot you showed!
