    Daily Unwanted Restarts

HP Notebook-17-P161DXP Notebook, Windows 10, Purchased March 2016. On a daily basis, this system will restart at least once, regardless of what I am doing. It will, for example, restart while it is initially starting up, or, just sitting idle, or composing an email, or doing a crossword (entering text) online), using wordpad etc. Once it has restarted, it seems to be good for the day ! This did not happen for the 1st year or so.

I have researched the "Random Restarts fixes for Windows 10 listed on WEB, but to no avail.
I use AVAST, and MBAM Premium and scan daily, don't think it is caused with Malware.

Check your browsers as they might have something stuck in the cache or just corrupted. For this I like to use Ccleaner...it's highly recommended and does a great job.

Then you may have some corrupted or missing system files. Have you tried running sfc scannow or the DISM repair?

Lol, Try leaving the PC in the BIOS and see if stays on there.

If it goes off while sat in the BIOS then its some sort of hardware issue for defo pal :)

He means get into BIOS and let it run for a while to see if the problem continues. Or better yet do this in Safe Mode if possible.

Does your battery show to being good?

Do you have another Power Cord to try?

Could also be some Errors causing it, or System Board issue.

Try looking at this HP Support Link.

    Iran this:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
All it said was the component store was repairable. Don't know whats next.
And repairing component store, fixes Windows ? Don't think so.
Also SFC /scannow found no corruption.
