IMO, it is simply a matter of keeping ahead of the opposition. AOEMI (and I think Veeam) offer it in the free version. To many people who buy the paid versions, their first impression is via the Free version.

AOEMI claim they have over a million users now. MR is around 5 million ( I asked them). So AEOMI is a growing threat. In part because the gui is easier for beginners, and partly due to incrementals being offered.

Of course Paramount have to decide if loss of Home sales offering incrementals in Free outweighs the significantly reduced market share in Free market. I upgraded because of Rapid Delta Restore and Macrium Redeployment, not just for incrementals.

In fact, AOEMI offered their free version to businesses and Macrium has recently followed suit. They obviously have taken the view that keeping market share with the Free version is important.
    Very well put! :)

My post was meant to express my personal opinion, and shouldn't be taken in any other way.

That being said, yes I understand what you are saying and agree with it.

Sure, I was just expressing my opinion too. It will be interesting to see the response we get next Saturday.

All sessions will be recorded, various pieces of them might be posted here, depending on the content. I will edit the part in last session with Nick Sills from Macrium attending, including Q&A and make a separate video of that, which will then most certainly be posted here.

    Brilliant! Thanks.

I do not know if this is even technically feasible but it would be super cool of Reflect could act as mini automatic remote control server, automatically connecting to wifi or ethernet, so users could take control of it remotely.

I know (now) you can run restores by remoting into windows, setting up restore action Reflect, select to boot in winpe mode, kick off restore, and wait until restore is done, and pc boots bsck to Windows. Problem is you cannot see anything during that time.

I am talking about a hybrid between tool like TeamViewer (running in winpe mode) and Reflect.

I nearly managed to do this by running anydesk.exe from Macrium modifying the boot.wim but I could not automatically connect o wifi using tool like PEnetwork (it would connect to ethernet iirc).

I am quite hyped here, too. Have been testing everything, creating PowerPoint presentations, running test live sessions to assure everything works. Only thing remaining is to stock enough "beverages" for me to survive the ordeal.

Two days to go. Get active, geeks, spread the word :)
