    Cortana web searches not opening

When I type, for example, "google.com" in Cortana, I get the results shown below, but clicking on google.com or "see all web results" doesn't do anything.

This has been the case since I installed this Releases · da2x/EdgeDeflector · GitHub (so that the searches would open in Chrome), but ended up uninstalling it.

Hello winhelp12, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

That program may still be blocking Cortana from opening web results.

Double check using the tutorial below to see if Cortana is set to show web results in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.

Unfortunately this didn't work. It works for Explorer (turn optimize on / set register to 1), but when I turn it off / set to 0, I get the situation I described earlier.

Does it still do this when you have Microsoft Edge set as your default web browser?

Remove the following entries from the system registry:

    Code:
    \\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\EdgeUriDeflector\
    \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\EdgeUriDeflector\
    \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RegisteredApplications\EdgeUriDeflector
