bikeit, now click on "View technical details" and post what it says in both Windows error (there would probably be just Windows was not properly shut down) and under AAM Updater
Check if occurrences of that errors coincide with your problems - icons moved to left...

Something is preventing your computer to go to sleep, or hibernate (properly).

I would disable that Adobe updater and also fast startup. If your laptop is mostly on table (you're not taking it around much), you could try to disable hibernation altogether, but wait with that.

I meant details of "Windows didn't shut down properly", as this is probably connected with restart after waking computer from sleep. This one indicates problems with Wacom tablet drivers.

OK, first: do the times of that errors in Reliability history coincide with problems after wake laptop from sleep? You can click on day with the red mark and check time of error report.

FYI, Adobe has finally realized that the AAM Updater errors are widespread and have been impacting many users. They have been able to replicate the problem and have said that the next product update will contain a fix.
