    File Explorer won't open

It starts but won't open a window on the desktop. Just happened, so I restarted (had to wait for an update to be installed), then after the restart, it still won't open, click the icon on the task bar, keystroke flag+E, click the icon on the start menu. The task bar shows all 3 windows and when I hover the mouse I see all three, the won't open.

    Any ideas?

Long shot here.. right click your desktop and click on Display Settings. See if you have an extra screen in the setup there. A while back I had an extra one appear and it hid a couple programs on there.

It seems I've had a momentary brain lapse, my desktop is a laptop with an external monitor and I use the laptop monitor once in a while as an extended screen, and my laptop turns on the extended screen once in a while and that's where my file explorers were hiding.

    I really appriciate your reply!
