    Thank you for that information. It's astounding how Microsoft's Windows Updates work sometime. It might be worth finding out if you have Windows.old folder and revert prior to the time of this recent update. However others more knowledgeable than me will be more helpful for better procedures to troubleshoot what needs to be done.

    I googled this so solving so I am thinking it may be a virus so I am going to format HD wipe it and reimage the drive

Solved Boot Problem in General Support
Not sure where to put this, since it's not a BSOD, but it is very, very annoying. I installed Windows 10 and began updating various things as one does with a new install. Drivers, apps etc,... at some point I began having a boot issue....
