I hear ya, there is no going back now though. I'd just like to see one or the other not both. It just comes across as starting something they never finished. To me it does anyway. Windows 10 is just a continuous work in progress. It's never really a finished product, IMHO?

Ya well that`s just how it`s gonna be, I kind of like it in a way, in 6 months you could refresh your system but not loose anything, and it`s free. I kind of like the idea that we don`t have to keep getting use to another OS, but yet we do get new features.

That`s why I keep 7 on another SSD, it`s the best OS ever, I`m using it right now

I like to switch back and forth every other month or so, to update it and make a fresh image.

So we have now 1*2*3*4 dittos, since first was doubled, second was tripled and fourth was quadrupled. That is a lot of ! 25 to be exact.

Yes, Zac Bowden's Windows Central story has indeed spawned a raft of "me-too" follow-ons. Funny how he, and nobody else, can cough up any details on what the nature (or even focus) of the vaguely identified "blocking bug" might be. We'll just have to wait and see what changes by the time 1803 rolls out. I hope somebody will also do some forensics on the two different windows images to see where the differences lie.

Better than forensics would be if MS would simply tell us what the heck is going on. I have been in this business for over 35 years, and I have never witnessed such inept corporate communication as what MS has been doing of late wrt to this update. All they would have had to do would be issue a statement saying "here's the blocking bug we discovered at the 11th hour, here's how we're going to fix it, here's how the sequence of new builds and/or CU's is going to look, and here's an approximate timeline". Then follow it up with daily status updates. People would be happy, MS would look sharp and proactive and focused. Instead, people are latching on to whatever some hack tech "journalist" comes up with, rumors of rumors, etc. It is really aggravating. MS looks clueless, bumbling, less than forthright, etc. What is wrong with them?
