Actually, no. There was a 'December Refresh' and the MCT now makes an ISO for 16299.125 (I've just made an ISO to test that).
ok, that was a break in the pattern. But there won't be a new one after to fay's real soon, that was kinda my point. No reason to wait for another week or so.

It has precedent - 1607 got a refresh part way through too.

I can't get the darn thing to install. I've done everything MS and other spots recommend doing and it fails.
Luckily I have 7 to fall back on. But mediacreationtool1803.exe wont even install on a freshly formatted partition.
I just get that endless blue window on a black background when I boot into it and my DVD drive indicates that it is not processing anything more on the bootable media I made.
I assume when one download the ISO it is a complete edition up to date?
It obviously dislikes something on my now rather ancient system, but that really shouldn't happen.
Strange I got as far as 1709 on all of my Tens with no problem.

No. It most likely will be Version 1803 Build 17134.1, there will be Build updates after the initial install such as the ones I saw early this week with a clean install where the first update was Build 17134.48, next was 17134.81, next was 17134.112 and now the latest is 17134.137. I let Update and Security do the updates and those were the steps involved, it didn't jump directly to the latest. Next time if the process needs to be done quicker/time critical I'll use the downloaded offline-install file from Windows Update Catalog.

OMG, how wrong could I be? LOL.
Well I'm going to blame Windows Update then because I never saw any intermediate builds.
OK I'll have to look into slipstreaming it with my original system disc - that should then work I suppose?
(Or at least appear to work and then most likely fail again ;-)

That sentence is missing a word.
