    My cursor keeps disappearing

It's more complicated than that. I have a laptop with an external monitor, the laptop goes into Extended Project once in a while on its own and I'll "loose" my cursor over there. I also have an Ubuntu computer that I have set up using a program called Synergy that allows me to use the mouse and keyboard from my Windows computer to control the Ubuntu and I sometimes "loose" my cursor over there (that monitor is only on when I'm using it and the laptop is always closed unless I'm using the extended project).

Does anyone know of a way to retrieve the cursor when it gets lost like that?

Where is Synergy installed to? One of the bugs in Synergy 2 is that sometimes when a computer is disconnected, the mouse and keyboard can be locked to one machine. Often times this is where original Synergy 2 was first installed and configured.

Synergy's not the problem, in fact I uninstalled Synergy 2 from both computers and reinstalled Synergy 1.8.8, there was some locking issues with the Ubuntu computer. My problem is that I will inadvertantly move the mouse off my desktop without realizing it, then I have a tough time finding it. I just want to get it back with a hot key or something.

In Control Panel/Settings and Mouse you can make a setting that pressing the Ctrl key will point out where the cursor is. I prefer the Pointer to be Windows Extra Large Black, easier to see on LCD panels. Sometimes enabling the Trails helps. On the same panel the Hide while typing can be changed. Also of note is when moving the cursor to the extreme right end of the Taskbar hits the Peek or Show Desktop feature, it can be turned off

Thanks Berton, Ctrl doesn't work, when it's on Ubuntu it shows as the middle of the Windows desktop, when it's on the laptop screen it shows where it is on the laptop, not much help with the lid closed. But enlarging the cursor may make it easier ti find it, I turn on Trails too. Onlt time will tell how much it helps, thanks again.
