Windows 10: No Size Difference between Large and Extra Large Thumbnails

No Size Difference between Large and Extra Large Thumbnails

I used to be able to Control scroll with the mouse wheel to expand the thumbnail (icon) size to "Extra Large Icons". Now large and extra large produces the same size thumbnail, but with extra large there is more space between each. How can fix this so the thumbnail actually grows rather then the space it occupies?

    Rebuilding thumbnails didn't help.
It used to work fine and just stopped a while back.

Mine still scrolls through the same choices seen under the View tab on the Menu bar.

Mine too. It's just that in scrolling between "Large icons" to "Extra large icons" there is NO increase in icon size. What gets larger is the space the icon occupies. The icons spread out but remain the same actual size.

It is very annoying because I used to be able to identify the content of the file when they were expandable to extra large icons. Now I have to open each file to identify its content.
