You're welcome. It's unfortunate MS doesn't make this easier, but they seem to be stuck on the remorseless idea that all updates and upgrades are good for you, to be applied at their behest by default. (And of course they shouldn't cause anyone any problems, should they).

Thank you Dalchina for teaching me how to hide an update that I don't want....
He/she did not learn of Windows Update MInitool on his/her own. He/she learned that from me, step by step. See here for proof - he/she even asks me questions on how it works - Cumulative Update KB4056892 Windows 10 v1709 Build 16299.192 - Page 37 - Windows 10 Forums (next post down from this is from him/her)

He/she has recommended this to many people without giving the credit to whom credit is due (me!)

Shows a lack of character to plagiarize - in this case, to copy from someone (me) & pass it on as one's own (Dalchina)

BTW, you are welcome that my suggestion helped put the power of installing updates into your hands rather than at the whim of MS!

It's nice to receive credit, but I don't see how plagiarism applies on a volunteer manned public Help forum.
If it did no one would receive any help.

Do you remember who first told you how to:
    • Check a drive?
    • Use the Registry Editor?
    • Parse the CBS log?
    • etc.

Can you prove that you are the creator of "Windows Update Minitool" and (most likely) the person who first documented how to use it?
