    Hi DiBBz.

Is Windows Media Player installed on your system?

Install or Uninstall Windows Media Player in Windows 10

Have you looked at the app defaults for the file types you are moving / organizing?

Are they set to your preferred audio Player?

WMP is installed on my system and i have made sure every media file from M4A, MP3, AAC, MP4 etc etc are all set to their default app when opening. its just every time i interact or move media files from a folder to another this pops up in the task bar. it doesn't happen when i have media files on my desktop. only specially in folders.

i also tried re-installing WMP but nothing has changed. it doesn't play anything. its just a blank window.. and when i hover over the window i see the WMP window. but obviously when clicking on it, nothing shows. its like its a ghost windows or something. and as far as ive seen nothing new appears in task manager

Long shot and I'm an iTune user... Is your WMP set to automatically import / organized you library.

What I'm thinking is that you are organizing files and it is responding. I read that this does not occur on desktop, maybe that is a location it is not monitoring. Like I said long shot.

not quite sure what you mean by that.. only option i have enabled on the player side is to add any media track to my library. but beside that there is no automatic importing.

i just dont know why or how to fix this issue... its becoming a pain when trying to play specific playlists or songs.

    :EDIT:

it appears this no name window / glitched window can be interacted with.. i can press the play button and it plays what i clicked on either for shift clicking or what not. but doesn't follow window sound mixer settings

So if you disable adding any media track to your library and then try organizing does this window appear?

Next I would try clean boot and see if this is being caused by a third party app.

Hi, what you're seeing appears to be a bug related to the Preview Pane, and WMP with mp3's and at least one other file type.

Turn off your Preview pane, or use a different media player associated with mp3's. Other media players will place a picture related to the file e.g. cover art in the preview pane, with an icon identifying the player. However, only WMP, as far as I know, allows actually playing media in the Preview Pane.

This problem has been mentioned a number of times on the internet, and seems a more recent issue in Win 10. I very recently posted examples on a thread I responded to.
